Our Environmental Sector delivers comprehensive environmental solutions to meet the full project lifecycle needs of clients in renewable energy, oil & gas, transportation, and manufacturing industries. With one of the largest multimedia air and land permitting and compliance teams in the country, we support client success in manufacturing and industry, liquids delivery and processing, natural gas storage and delivery, power generation and delivery, and transportation projects.

POSITION SUMMARY

TRC Companies, Inc., a pioneer in groundbreaking scientific and engineering services, is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our Permitting, Planning and Licensing team. The successful candidate will report toTRC's Rocky Mountain Group. Remote working or hybrid office/remote working is possible. The successful candidate would have 15 or years in environmental consulting or related ; experience with federal land management agency regulations, processes, protocols; focus driven; problem solver; Environmental survey, field sampling experience; integration of teams for survey, analysis, data gathering, and management of environmental considerations; Strong GIS analysis, GPS data gathering; drone license a plus.

Requirements:

Qualifications, Skills, and Responsibilities:

The position requires a strong background in supporting general environmental work;

  • Minimum 15 years of experience of environmental consulting or related work
  • Science or engineering related degree required.
  • Experience with federal land management agencies including Bureau of Land Management, US Forest Service, US Army Corp of Engineers is required.
  • Experience with conducting, coordinating, and facilitating including daily logistics of large environmental survey work including biological, wetlands, and cultural surveys is strongly preferred.
  • Strong experience with collecting and validating field data, data validation, and integration with GIS systems and visualizations is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to support survey work as data technician/GIS tech in the field is required.
  • Drone license or strong experience w/ drone use for field work preferred.
  • Comfortable with working under tight deadlines and able to adjust to last-minute changes to work product and/or timing.
  • Ability to manage work on multiple concurrent projects.
  • Candidates are required to successfully pass a drug test prior to employment or within five working days from date of hire in addition to a pre-employment background check, physical and motor vehicle records check;

Compensation:

In accordance with Colorado state law, the following compensation range is applicable for the job and Colorado location associated with this requisition: $70,000 – $91,000. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, and other compensable factors.
