The Modeling Developer & Analyst will be an essential part of our team to grow the consulting practice in the Operational Technology and Real-Time Systems domain.
The Modeling Developer & Analyst should have experience with GIS products, data structures, and interfaces as well as OSI’s conversion tool – Leitmotif.
Job Description:
The Modeling Developer & Analyst will be responsible for the configuration of the tools in the data extraction process that will build the ADMS model. This will include configuration of OSI’s Leitmotif product to interface, extract, and translate the GIS and other sources to OSI’s Intermediate Data Format (IDF) that can be consumed by the ADMS data import process. The modeling developer will work with the ADMS Modeling Lead to develop a plan and track progress against that plan.
This role will require deep knowledge of the GIS data structures, how to access data from the GIS, how that data maps to OSI’s IDF, and how to use OSI’s tools (Leitmotif) to perform the conversion to the IDF. They will need to be familiar with tools that can be used to view the GIS data and how to access the data within the GIS.
Responsibilities:
- Working with the ADMS Modeling Lead to develop & maintain a project plan for the extraction process
- Configuring OSI’s tools (Leitmotif) to extract and convert GIS and other data to OSI’s IDF that can be imported to the ADMS
- Have a strong understanding of OSI’s ADMS network data model and its use by the ADMS applications
- Ensuring that the converted data model is fully functional in the ADMS
- Identify data gaps and discrepancies in the source data set that are required to meet the operational needs of the ADMS
- Troubleshooting issues found in the extraction process. Work closely with the OSI development team to triage and resolve product issues.
- Developing tools and scripts to access and assess the data from the GIS for completeness and accuracy.
