Pay Rate
$18.00 an hour.
Shift Differential
$2.00 an hour additional for swing shift
$2.00 an hour additional for grave shift
Hire on Bonus
$1,000 hire on bonus is for new hires and rehires that are returning after 5 years or more. The bonus will be paid out in equal $333/$334 portions after successfully completing 3 months, 6 months and 9 months of employment with Treasure Island Resort & Casino.
SUMMARY: To perform daily maintenance work, including preventive maintenance programs for the hotel. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance on guest rooms, pool rooms, corridors, restrooms, child care, and the like
- Perform preventive maintenance on hotel equipment, laundry, pool, building mechanics
- Inform supervisor of supplies required for daily maintenance
- Keep work areas clean and neat at all times
- Keep supervisor informed of all operations and conditions of hotel complex
- Perform snow shoveling and removal of sidewalks
- Pick-up litter and garbage outside
KNOWLEDGE AND CERTIFICATION, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge and Certification
Required:
- High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- Proven basic knowledge and understanding of mechanical equipment
- Proven knowledge of heating/cooling systems and water treatment
- Proven knowledge of power tools and equipment use and safety
Preferred:
- Swimming pool and hot tub maintenance experience
Skills
Required:
- Accurate and detail-oriented
- Highly organized and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Strong mechanical aptitude
Abilities
Required:
- Ability to work fast and efficiently
- Ability to independently complete multiple tasks in a professional manner
- Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair specialized equipment
- Ability to learn appropriate chemical usage and proper equipment usage
- Ability to interact with guests, coworkers and management in a professional and courteous manner
- Ability to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygiene
