POSITION PURPOSE:
The HR Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and carrying out all human resources processes at the facility site level.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Accountable for leading a WE CARE culture that focuses on our mission to provide a transformational influence to patients and their loved ones.
- Serves as Human Resources representative on site at the facility level.
- Assists team with answering phone calls to the facility
- Answers employee inquiries in relation to HR processes and services.
- Supports managers with employee coaching and corrective action.
- Coordinates and facilitates new employee onboarding process to insure all employment related regulatory requirements are met. This includes pre-hire activities (background screenings, drug-testing, reference checks) and onboarding activities (new hire requirements, W-4, I-9, etc.). All activities are coordinated through ADP Workforce Now.
- Coordinates and facilitates New Hire Orientation program to provide all new hires an exceptional “We CARE” experience and warm welcome to our organization.
- Facilitates the recruitment process. May include screening, interviewing and scheduling interviews with managers.
- Responds to employee and manager inquiries regarding employment, benefits and any other matters relating to human resources.
- Maintenance and auditing of online employee records.
- Ongoing maintenance and updates to any HR related collateral (Employee Handbook, Job Descriptions, communication).
- Orients managers and staff to online learning management system.
- Manages employee badging system.
- Orients new hires to ADP time & attendance function to insure accurate collection of time worked.
- Supports managers in the closing of time and attendance and payroll data to insure a timely and accurate payroll processing.
- Trained as subject matter expert and administrator for ADP workforce now, to enable troubleshooting of issues and integrity of data within the system.
- Experience or exposure to transition of a payroll and HR management system
- Meetings with Insurance brokers for implementation of employee benefits programs in coordination with the COO
- Assist employees with enrollment in benefits
- Assist employees as needed with COBRA, FMLA or Disability requirements.
- Bi-weekly payroll processing.
- Other duties as assigned.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: High School Diploma Bachelor’s Degree preferred Knowledge of employment laws for federal, state and local agencies.
EXPERIENCE: 3 years experience in a human resources capacity with familiarity in state regulatory HR practices. Healthcare HR experience a plus.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: PHR or SPHR-CP a plus
