Security Assurance Specialist

The role Security Assurance is not your traditional assurance function. We are a team with deep security governance, operation and design experience, dedicated to providing G-Research’s Board and Executive Management Team (EMT) with insightful and pragmatic observations that will help improve our business. We conduct reviews over processes, systems and capabilities which affect the security of our most critical information. Being part of the team is a unique opportunity to gain broad visibility and understanding of the processes and technologies throughout the business, assess the extent to which they are meeting - or are on track to meet - Board-level security outcomes, and discuss findings with Board members. Reporting into the Head of Security Assurance, responsibilities of the role include: Scoping and executing in-depth reviews of key security processes, capabilities and programmes, to assess whether security outcomes defined by the Board are being met or are on track to be met Assessing current- and target-state security capabilities against good practice Writing reports that concisely articulate findings for consideration by the Board and EMT Communicating conclusions to stakeholders, up to and including Board and EMT Providing selective direct input into security improvements being developed by the operational parts of the business, leveraging your own security experience Building and maintaining a broad understanding of our business’ complex and rapidly changing processes, technologies and capabilities Building strong working relationships with teams across the business, whilst maintaining the independence required of an assurance team Being proactive in helping to continuously improve security assurance processes Who are we looking for? Security Assurance is looking for an experienced candidate with an excellent academic record, who is keen to work for a fast-paced, technology-focused company in a team that has the remit, responsibility and Board-level visibility to make a real difference.
