About the role

 The Titling Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of vehicle titles by verifying title information is correct, maintaining knowledge of current laws regarding vehicle titles, and interacting with customers and regulatory agencies to resolve title issues.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Working with an established sales team to effectively process titles for auto loans.
  • Gathering the necessary documents from customers to complete title packages.
  • Reviewing documents to cross-check for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with various state requirements.
  • Providing excellent customer service by providing prompt, informed, professional, and accurate service and support.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving customer concerns in a timely, friendly, and accurate manner.
  • Consistently meet department quality, service, and production standards that promote customer satisfaction and company growth.
  • Managing specific service level agreements to meet business timelines.
  • Ensuring appropriate records are maintained and required reports are prepared.
  • Maintaining an up-to-date and accurate filing system.
  • Perform other job duties as assigned.

What You Need:

  • Knowledge of current DMV laws and regulations as they relate to vehicle titles and interpreting titling regulations for assigned states
  • 2 years of previous auto title and document gathering experience, loan processing, collections experience or related administrative experience
  • Knowledge of skip tracing, auto loans and personal loan collection, repossession,  
  • High School diploma or equivalent. Associate degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels
  • Strong organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Understanding customer-sensitive information protection protocols
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate via phone and email.
  • Ability to prioritize and adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities.  Required to manage multiple priorities with tight deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to cross-check material for completeness and accuracy.

Working Environment/Physical Activities

Office environment. Must be able to work extended hours as the business dictates including evenings and Saturdays. The job routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, printers, copiers, fax machines, and filing cabinets. The position requires manual dexterity, and the ability to lift files and open filing cabinets.
