- Position Location:East Mesa(Power Rd/Broadway Rd)
- Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m..
- Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
POSITION SUMMARY
This position provides key coordination of hospital based structural heart procedures. This position works collaboratively with patients, providers, staff, hospital coordinators and outpatient facilities to ensure completion of the patient care plan orders.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Performs the essential functions of the Secretary.
- Collaborates with hospital staff and device reps to schedule inpatient and outpatient hospital procedures, required pre and post procedure testing per standing orders and provides patient education and procedure preparation instructions to patients.
- Reviews and develops a familiarity with the protocols, e.g., structural heart anatomy, procedure proceedings and timelines, inclusion and exclusion criteria, confidentiality, and privacy protections.
- Coordinates patient evaluation, enrollment, consenting, follow up visits, testing, scheduling, and collection and dissemination of data among multi-disciplinary team.
- Completes procedure documentation and maintains procedure spreadsheets for continuity of care and registry requirements.
- Facilitates operative schedules for several providers to perform various structural heart procedures among multiple hospital facilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience/Licenses/Certifications
High school diploma or GED.
Basic knowledge of insurance, referral, authorization and billing processes.
Eligibility

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Previous procedure/surgery scheduling experience preferred
Previous cardiology experience preferred
Medical Assistant diploma or other Healthcare related degree preferred
