What you will do: Performs administrative, information systems, and clerical work related to the registration and issuance of birth and death records and the issuance of burial permits within Tri- County Health Department jurisdiction. Assists in the supervision and development of employees and program operations including the assignment and review of staff work, interpretation of program and policy for staff, initiation and interviewing and selection of staff, training, performance management and scheduling of work time under the director of the Deputy Registrar.
Requirements you will need:
Requires graduation from high school graduation or equivalent and three years increasingly responsible general office, clerical, computer, supervisory and customer service experience in a related setting such as a public facing governmental program or retail supervision. Prefer vital records experience and an associates or bachelor's degree. Must be able to travel from office to office ranging from Castle Rock to Commerce City on a regular basis.

Special Qualifications:
- Certification as a Deputy Registrar through the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) within allotted time period.
- Ability to obtain a thorough understanding of State Vital Records Office regulations.
- Complete 8 hours annual training through CO Department of Public Health.
- Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
Knowledge of:
- This position requires the ability to learn a detailed understanding of State Vital Records Office regulations and COVIS or other online systems. Policies, procedures, and CDPHE regulations for vital statistics.
- Modern office practices and procedures and English grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Basic mathematical calculations.
- Supervisory techniques and methods.
Salary Range: $47,000- $58,000 annual
