GENERAL SUMMARY:
Multi-Systemic Home Based Therapy Program (MST) - A family-oriented, home-based program for children, adolescents and families affected by emotional and behavioral difficulties. The #1 rated evidence-based practice in the nation for at-risk youth!
The MST Counselor provides home-based, short-term, intensive family-oriented clinical intervention for families where a child is at risk of removal from the home or is returning to the home working from a multi-systemic therapy focus.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides direct clinical treatment using methods compatible with the principles and practices of Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST).
- Conducts MST assessments, including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
- Engages primary caregiver and other key participants in active change-oriented treatment by identifying and overcoming barriers to engagement.
- Conducts MST assessments, including review of referral information, identifying and engaging key participants, identifying systemic strengths and weaknesses and developing an analysis of the fit of problem behaviors within the ecological context.
- Implements a problem conceptualization, treatment planning, intervention implementation, outcome review and strategy revision procedure using the MST Analytic Process, while ensuring that all treatments are both clinically sound and cost effective.
- Carries out therapeutic treatments and procedures according to established care plans; agency, unit, and program policies and procedures; professional standards; and within the scope of practice of the employee's professional license.
- Educates and instructs clients and significant others in prevention and rehabilitative measures appropriate for the client's care and safety.
- Participates in all MST training, supervision and consultation activities.
- Participates in rotational on-call responsibilities as required by the program

- Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or a related field and eligibility for clinical licensure, (LMSW-C, LMFT, PMHCNS,BC, or LCPC-C) is required. By approved exception, a related Bachelor's degree and related child & family experience may also satisfy education and experience requirements.
- Knowledge of family systems and solution-based modalities is preferred.
- Reliable transportation, a valid Maine driver's license and computer proficiency also required.

*$2,500.00 SIGN-ON BONUS: pro-rated based hours per week. First half is paid upon successful completion of 90-day review/introductory period completion and second half is paid after 6 months from hire date, pending successful completion of introductory period.
