About This Role:

Favor TechConsulting, LLC (FTC) a wholly owned subsidiary of Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking a talented Data Scientist to support the Defense Intelligence Agency.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct data analytics, data engineering, data mining, exploratory analysis, predictive analysis, and statistical analysis
  • Use scientific techniques to correlate data into graphical, written, visual and verbal narrative products, enabling more informed analytic decisions
  • Proactively retrieves information from various sources, analyzes it for better understanding about the data set, and builds AI tools that automate certain processes.
  • Create various ML-based tools or processes, such as recommendation engines or automated lead scoring systems
  • Perform statistical analysis, applies data mining techniques, and builds high quality prediction systems

The “Need-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:

  • Specialized Training related to one-or-more disciplines relevant to data analysis and data-driven process improvement
  • Experience programming skills in R and Python
  • Experience in data visualization and use of graphical applications, including Microsoft Office (Power BI) and Tableau
  • Managing and merging of disparate data sources, preferably through R, Python, or SQL; statistical analysis; and data mining algorithms
  • Experience with large data Multi-INT analytics, ML, and automated predictive analysis
  • Experience building and running Pilot Programs centered around data analysis, AI, or ML
  • Experience with data science modeling
  • Experience with research and development as it pertains to Data Science
  • Demonstrated work, research or educational experience in a field relevant to data science, data analysis, and/or evaluating analysis methods; for example, mathematics, statistics, information science, artificial intelligence, machine learning, network science, probability modeling, data mining, data engineering, data warehousing, data compression, data protection, and/or other scientific techniques
  • Successful applications of quantitative methods to achieve improved products in a military and intelligence environment
  • Understanding of how to integrate quantitative methods into new or existing tools and technologies
  • Understanding of how to scale and adapt recommendations to fit organizations’ unique needs
  • Ability to communicate findings and how to apply recommendations to a diverse audience with varying technical literacy or data science understanding
  • Ability to work side-by-side with federal counterparts on a multi-disciplinary team
  • Strong verbal presentation and writing skills, including the demonstrated ability to write clear and concise textual products
  • Proficiency in correlating complex, technical findings into graphical, visual, and verbal narratives

Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, mathematics, or other relevant technical fields.

Clearance:

Active TS/SCI Clearance w/ CI Poly

Years of Professional Experience:

8 years of relevant subject matter experience, or specialized training and 10 years’ of subject matter experience

 “Nice-to-Have” Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience with Full Stack Development
  • Experience with Software/Application development/engineering
  • Experience with light weight front end development
