Location : Bellaire, MI 49615
Duration : 13 Weeks contract (Possible Extension)
Shift : Weekends only: Friday, Saturday, Sunday - 7a-7p; 36 hrs./week
Compensation Break-up as per 36 Hours/Week: $3080
Pay Rate: $46/hr.
Housing and Meal Stipend: $1099(TAX-FREE)
W2 Pay: $557(TAXABLE)
Gross Pay: $1656
Job Summary:
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following. Other Duties May Be Assigned.
· Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with approved nursing techniques and facility policies and procedures.
· Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatments and examinations of residents.
· Observes residents, records significant conditions and reactions, and notifies supervisor, physician and family of resident’s condition and reaction to drugs, treatments, and significant incidents.
· Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure, and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of resident.
· Assigns duties and coordinates nursing services on the resident unit to ensure resident needs are met in accordance with instructions of Physician, federal and state regulations and facility procedures.
· Consults with Shift Supervisor on nursing problems and interpretation of facility policies to insure resident needs are met.
· Report all complaints or unusual problems to supervisor. Assist with completion of facility complaint report.
· Participates in orientation and training and evaluating of nursing personnel.
· Evaluates nursing activities to ensure resident care, staff relations, and efficiency of service.
· Assigns duties and coordinates nursing service on the resident unit.
· Observes nursing care and visits residents to ensure that nursing care is carried out as directed, and treatment administered in accordance with Physician's instructions.
· Assumes responsibility and maintains records for unit narcotics.
· Inspects resident rooms and the unit for cleanliness and comfort.
· Responsible to document admissions, discharges, transfers and incident reports per facility policies and procedures.
· Participate in the care plan process, completes nursing assessments and resident care plans accurately and timely on assigned residents.
· Completes special projects and audits at the direction of the Supervisor, CCC, or Director of Nursing.
· Maintain all educational requirements for the State of Michigan to keep license current. Attend facility in services and ward conferences as assigned.
· Maintain resident confidentiality; treat residents with kindness, dignity and respect; know and comply with all Resident's Rights rules; and promptly report all resident accidents and injuries to charge nurse.
· Must have regular and attendance.
· All other duties as assigned.
Additional Facility Information:
· May be asked to serve in Charge capacity
· no block schedule guaranteed
· every other weekend required
· Facility Address is across from Humane Society and facility may occasionally have a Canine support visitor. If Clinician is afraid of dogs, may not be the best fit
Requirements:
· Current LPN/LVN experience - Required
· Those with experience with IV starts and phlebo draws/skills will be considered first
· Travel experience strongly encouraged
· BLS (AHA or ARC) - Required
· Covid Vaccine - strongly encouraged -- (if declining, mandated to wear a mask) --
· Ability to move up to 25 lbs. & frequently lift and/or move more than 50 lbs.
· Clinician MUST be able & willing to work the set schedule created by the Facility
· Clinician must be able & willing to work weekend shift
Certification Requirements:
· BLS (AHA)
State License Requirements:
· Michigan
