Summary
The VFI (Vendor Furnished Information) Coordinator’s role is to support both the Distributive Systems and Outfitting divisions for all programs, with a strong focus on LCS, MMSC, and FFG. The VFI Coordinator is the primary interface for tracking and transmittal of contract required deliverables and information and data to and from the customers and Trident’s suppliers.
Responsibilities
- In conjunction with the Engineer, review Ship Specifications to understand requirements.
- Create equipment specific Purchase Specifications that encompass all requirements.
- Submit to Engineering Manager for review and approval before releasing to Operations for quote or purchase.

POC for Vendors to discuss issues/concerns with requirements.
- If requirements cannot be met by vendor, need to discuss issue with Engineering and the Customer to determine a path forward.
- Main POC for Engineering and the Customers for all things VFI.

Receive in VFI from Vendors.
- In conjunction with the Engineer, review submittals to ensure all technical and other deliverable requirements are met.
- If there are issues, return to Vendor with comments.
- If VFI meets all requirements, and upon approval by the Engineer, submit to the shipyard by their required process.

Shipyard with either approve or reject VFI.
- If rejected, track and review comments and work with the vendor to resolve.

Track submittal due dates based on the PO from the shipyard.
- Ensure we submit all VFI by the due date. If date cannot be met, notify the shipyard, and agree on a date for submittal.
