Director of Engineering

Responsibilities: Collaborate with our development and cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and great product releases Contribute to a great work environment by providing exemplary leadership and by mentoring our development managers, team leads, and emerging leaders Work with our ScrumMasters to look for opportunities for efficiency improvements and to optimize our Agile process Ensure progress on technical debt and cross-cutting initiatives (such as localization) across iterations and releases Hire, inspire, and lead multiple high-performing teams Qualifications: B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience At least 10 years of experience in software development with at least 5 years of experience as a developer on an Agile/Scrum team and at least 5 years of experience managing one or more software development teams (preferably having managed multiple teams/projects simultaneously) Deep understanding of software engineering principles and process along with the ability to apply this knowledge to execute projects and optimize strategies Strong skills in critical thinking, decision making, problem solving, and attention to detail Proven success in improving software reliability and release predictability Fluency with software development metrics and their applicability Relevant: Experience working with the Windows stack (Visual Studio, C , C#, .NET) or Web stack (JavaScript, HTML5, CSS) Experience with development and deployment of desktop, server, and web applications Experience with Analytics and Big Data Find yourself checking a lot of these boxes but doubting whether you should apply?
