Incoming Quality Auditor - IQA

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is looking for an Incoming Quality Auditor (IQA) for Corinth, MS.

Fulltime - 1st Shift - Benefits

This position inspects parts being received by the customer, using proper inspection techniques and equipment. This task is also performed accurately, efficiently, and in a professional manner.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect or perform audits on incoming material, using measuring and gauging tools as well as visual techniques in determining conformance to engineering specifications.
• Determine the methods and processes needed to measure part conformance according to the allowed dimensional tolerances and normal gauging practices.
• Document and report non-conformances to specifications using computerized quality documentation system.
• Contain non-conforming parts and materials.
• Sort and rework non-conforming parts and material.
• Prioritize the order of short-quantity loads, and manage first in, first out (FIFO) flow of received goods.
• Other duties and/or responsibilities as assigned.

JOB SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

• Comprehension level knowledge and ability to interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, including GD&T.
• Comprehension level knowledge and understanding of inspection techniques and the use of the appropriate measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.), equipment, and gauges.
• Demonstrated ability in handling and maintaining precision measuring tools, equipment, and gauges.
• Must have previous quality inspection experience.
• Experience performing cleanliness audits a plus.
• Operating level proficiency using computer software programs.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-year or 4-year technical degree preferred.
• Previous work experience in a quality background preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

• This position may include some supervisory responsibilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS OF WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is located in an industrial/production environment, and as such may be exposed to the following:

• Intermittent moving or lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Intermittent exposure to extreme cold and extreme heat.
• In proximity to moving mechanical parts and machinery.
• Exposure to electrical shock and vibration.
• Exposure to noise level of industrial/production environment, typically very loud.
• Working in close proximity to customer/client.
