Position Overview:
The Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for all products manufactured in the plant to ensure the fulfillment of the customer’s expectations in terms of quality, cost, and service. Provides effective support for all plant functions to achieve this goal. Proactively complies with all local, state, federal regulations and all corporate/plant policies, rules, and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all activities associated with testing the physical and performance attributes of test products. Maintains current knowledge of accepted methods, specifications, standards, and tolerances.
- Place product that does not meet requirements on hold as needed.
- Evaluates all products including all test results and any associated information. Makes decisions pertaining to pass, holding, rejecting, dispositioning, and reworking all products and takes appropriate action.
- Communicate to the appropriate personnel when product samples do not meet requirements.
- Responsible for accurate and thorough recording of all data and information related to quality.
- Enter product testing/results into a computer system.
- Responsible for complete upkeep and maintenance of these records.
- Responsible for the day-to-day working conditions in the lab. This includes, but is not limited to, cleanliness, orderliness, safety, routine maintenance, sanitation, organization of controls, samples, records, and files.

- Rework product that does not meet requirements.
- Responsible for following food safety/quality/regulatory policies and procedures, executing responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures, and reporting food safety/quality/regulatory concerns to the Production or Quality Manager.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required. Post secondary education is a plus.
- The ability to read, write, speak, and understand English is required.
- 1 years coffee roasting, food production and/or machine operating experience
- Good knowledge of and/or passion for learning about coffee
- Responsible for following food safety/regulatory policies and procedures, executing responsibilities as identified in standard operating procedures, and reporting food safety/regulatory concerns to the Production or Quality Manager.
- Team player able to work well with others and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Understanding of sanitation systems, techniques, and procedures.
- Strong analytical skills, troubleshooting and judgment skills.
- Results driven.
- Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and related production and product information systems.
- Desire to work in a fast-paced high growth environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate well cross-functionally and work well at all levels of the organization.
Hours and Pay:
Positions are available 6am-6pm on a 2-2-3 schedule at our Little Chute, Wisconsin facility. We offer competitive base pay rate and comprehensive benefits package for full-time employees.
Physical and Mental Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, hear, use hands to type data, use a personal computer and telephone. This employee may occasionally have to operate business machines and lift and/move up to 50 pounds.
