Main Duties & Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY:

Performs all secondary heat treat process' in support of manufacturing operations for production and includes research and development. This includes all thermal processes (heat treat, aging, vacuum operations) for all products.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities and Competencies:

Adheres to production schedules as required by the company and/or customer.

Ensures process specifications identified on work order are followed.

Ensures furnace temperature is correct and consistent with specification requirements.

Monitors furnace activity to ensure process is in control per specification requirements.

Loads and unloads furnace with product per specification requirements.

Completes recording charts with required information.

Follows established safety and environmental guidelines.

Performs record keeping and housekeeping.

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

Can be trained to perform secondary process in support of manufacturing operations that includes degrease, lube, etch, anodize, chromate conversion coating, and roll sort.

The pay scale for this position ranges from $15.50-$29.13 hourly

Qualifications

Mathematical Skills:

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out routine multi-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with occasional variables.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and bend. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The work environment can be hot during high temperature summer days. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

The pay scale for this position ranges from $15.50- $29.13 an hour.
