Main Duties & Responsibilities
The Quality
Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring that quality system requirements
are established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with company,
corporate and customer quality requirements and reporting on the performance of
the quality systems and processes.
Essential
Duties and Responsibilities:
Defines and specifies the implementation of standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products.
Assure that there is an effective calibration and maintenance program for measuring and test equipment integrity.
Responsible for collecting quality data, data analysis and reporting. Oversees non-conforming material process and site supplier/procurement quality activities
Responsible for final acceptance testing of all products.
Exercise authority to prevent shipment of non-conforming products.
Manages the corrective and preventative action process and manages quality communications with customers.
Responsible for the creation and maintenance of the Quality Assurance manual and procedures in accordance with ISO 9001:2015, AS9100 REV D standards
Perform all essential duties as the Quality Representative as defined in the QMS, including Management Review.
Responsible for the Internal Audit system, including the designation, scheduling and tracking of audits and responsibilities.
Responsible for directing and supervising vendor-supplied raw materials or partially-finished goods and the suppliers.
Supervise and utilize quality department personnel as well as manage, train, develop, and motivate them in order to achieve the overall quality goals and objectives.
Must be able to manage all quality related issues for a 35-person machine shop of complex parts and sub-assemblies for the Aerospace Industry.
Must be a hands-on working manager not afraid to be on the shop floor rolling his or her sleeves up.
Qualifications
To be considered
for this position, you must have the following experiences and abilities:
BS/BA degree or equivalent work experience
(Engineering, Quality, or Business)
American Society for Quality (ASQ)
certification desirable
Must have solid project management and
leadership skills.
Must have application knowledge of
military/aerospace standards and world class quality specifications.
Computer literate with ability to develop
reports, spread sheets and other required reports.
Strong working knowledge ISO 9001:2008, AS9100 REV C Standards
Must have excellent communication skills
both written and oral.
At least 10 years related experience in a
manufacturing quality assurance environment
At least 4 years supervisory experience with
documentation and implementation of quality and continuous improvement
systems.
Salary : $89,000 - $113,000
