Job Description

We’re seeking an experienced controller to oversee our rapidly growing company in a leadership role with responsibility over accounting, purchasing, and other general business management functions. The ideal candidate will have proven industry experience as a senior accountant/controller. They will also be a strong communicator and skilled financial analyst, dedicated to streamlining company's budget, accounting, business processes and financial reporting processes. They will produce thorough financial-status reports for the owners to help improve our operational efficiency and aid in our continued growth.

Objectives of this Role

• Assist in planning, implementing, and directing all business related functions
• Assist in identifying and implementing an integrated software system to manage all manufacturing, inventory, purchasing, sales, and accounting functions
• Develop, implement, and maintain financial processes, controls and guidelines
• Guide financial decisions by applying company policies and procedures to current economic landscape
• Provide comprehensive financial updates to owners by evaluating, analyzing, and reporting appropriate data points
• Achieve budgeting goals with proper scheduling, analysis, and corrective action
• Help develop and support short and long-term operational strategies

  Daily and Monthly Responsibilities

• Manage a newly integrated accounting, purchasing, manufacturing and sales software system that was implemented in February 2023.  
• Implement supply chain management best practices ensuring raw materials are procured in a timely, efficient and cost effective manner
• Design accounting system and internal controls to meet current and future needs of the company with the goal of moving quickly toward the appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements
• Oversee all accounting processes including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, inventory and compliance
• Implement consistent accounting policies, practices, and procedures across all programs, upholding federal, state, and local legal standards
• Establish financial and operating benchmarks, budgets, program monitoring, and reporting standards on a bi-weekly, monthly, and annual basis
• Develop and enforce internal controls to maximize protection of company assets, policies, procedures, and workflow
• Collaborate closely with owners to ensure business data systems and functions are meeting continously evolving business needs

 Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics or related business field
• 10 years of progressive accounting/business experience
• Working knowledge of finance law and regulatory standards (GAAP)
• Strong working knowledge of detailed financial data analysis
• Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax compliance regulations and reporting
• MUST HAVE experience with NETSUITE Accounting Software

 Preferred Qualifications

• 5 years experience as a controller
• 5 years experience with supply chain management including international purchasing
• Proven experience guiding companies through significant growth phases
• CPA preferred

Salary range $120-$140K based on experience and Netsuite knowledge
