Description:
- Reporting to the Director of Acute Care, the Clinical Nurse must demonstrate the passion to provide bedside care to a diverse and acutely ill population of patients. The Clinical Nurse should possess the knowledge and skill of how-to safety apply the nursing process to assess, plan and evaluate the care of patients with various health conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborative planning, coordinating, and delivering quality care to medical and telemetry patients that are acutely ill; focusing on care of the stroke/neuro patient.
- Facilitate best practices to deliver quality care through the identification, implementation and evaluation of nursing interventions and communication of results to the healthcare team.
- Provides education to patients and their families for all medical diagnoses (respiratory, cardiac, GI, rental, neuro, endocrine).
What you will need
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program; basic professional nursing degree required (BSN preferred). Note, if the BSN or MSN degree is not present on hire, the employee must sign an agreement to obtain a within a specific time frame.
- Current licensure by the Maryland State Board of Nursing or Compact State as a Registered Nurse.
- BLS certification (issued through the American Heart Association)
- Superb interpersonal, communication and collaboration abilities.
- Competency in electronic patient management systems.
Preferred:
- BSN or MSN preferred
- Certified MS-RN in nursing recommended.
- At least 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care setting
