The EKG Tech performs all diagnostic EKG procedures and Holter applications. Performs all duties related to record transcription and record delivery to proper areas.- Actively demonstrates the organization’s mission and core values, and conducts oneself at all times in a manner consistent with these values. Performs EKG’s in a timely and efficient manner.
Uses a magnet for pacemaker detection. Maintains skills to recognize abnormalities in EKG tracings and reports critical abnormalities to physician. Applies holter monitor using proper skin preparation technique. Transcribes all interpretation of EKG’s and holters.
Position Requirements
Education: High School Graduate.
Licensure: CPR certified.
Experience: One year’s experience in allied health profession preferred. Computer experience preferred.
Other Job Requirements:
May be required to vary hours, day’s work on holidays and flex or add hours depending upon the needs of the department.
