- This position is a call center to schedule patients for procedures in the hospital, the Ambulatory Care Centers and the Women’s Center. It is physically located in the office at the Wells Fargo Building, 8th floor.
Hours of operation: Monday-Friday, 8 a – 4:30 p (will soon be 9a – 6:00p)
8-hour shifts during hours of operation
*Demonstrates proficiency in both patient and resource scheduling.
* Performs all aspects of patient scheduling including patient preps, sequencing of tests and special requirements. * Exhibits strong medical terminology skills.
* Provides patient and physician office staff with pertinent scheduling information regarding directions, preps, procedures or test requirements.
* Provides accurate daily schedules on a timely basis. Prepares patient packets for the next day.
* Obtains accurate pre-registration information, demographic and insurance authorizations prior to patient's arrival.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent required.
* Knowledge of Call Center phone systems and registration/insurance verification is preferred.
* Requires working knowledge of medical terminology. Must demonstrate advanced
computer skills and experience with computerized scheduling system.
