What are the responsibilities and job description for the DENTAL ASSISTANT position at Trinity Hospitals?
- POSITION SUMMARY
- Provides care to assigned patients, in all age groups. Primary job duties include but are not limited to: Assisting the oral surgeon as necessary, setting up and maintaining a safe surgical field, maintaining familiarity, function, and proper care of all OR equipment and instruments, initiating responsibility for care of specimens, and performing other related duties as assigned.
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Licenses and Certifications Required
- Must be qualified as a Dental Assistant and renew annually.
- CPR Certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire, with renewal every two (2) years.
- Educational Requirements
- Completion of an approved Dental Assisting Program and Certification or Registration in ND.
- Experience Requirements
- Prior experience in a dental office setting is preferred but not required.
