Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administration of companywide time payroll system including the time and attendance reporting
  • Accurately and timely delivery of payroll and related records or reporting
  • Process biweekly payroll for Trinity companies, transmitting to vendor and distribution of live checks
  • Provide needed reports to accounting to review for rates, premium and leave pay before transmitting
  • Use payroll register to prepare recap report in Excel showing payroll breakdown specifically expenses by company
  • Post company payroll expenses to GL as processed
  • Setup new hires in relevant software systems as well as terminating when required
  • Track accruals for vacation, sick, and floating holidays
  • Prepare SF Health Care Security Ordinance (HCSO) employer contributions quarterly
  • Process medical, dental, 401k, commuter checks, reimbursements, EE checks, garnishments, and other deductions as required and update employee information as needed
  • Prepare health and dental insurance report and worker’s comp reports monthly for Controller
  • Prepare all related government reporting as needed such as annual 401k 5500, local, state and federal reports and worker’s comp audits
  • Process bonus or final checks when needed and prepare final pay wage statements
  • Administer Company auto insurance policy
  • Update participant data and reporting to insurance provider
  • Offer support to accounting team when requested
  • Other duties and assignments as requested by management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • 2 or more years of knowledge and experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Thorough knowledge of San Francisco compensation regulations
  • Working knowledge of health and welfare benefits including remittance
  • Working knowledge of Worker’s Compensation needed
  • Working knowledge of city, state, and federal leave regulations
  • Working knowledge of Google sheets and Box helpful
  • Accounting knowledge helpful
  • Payroll certification helpful

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 yr degree or equivalent work experience needed
  • Advanced training and experience with accounting reports
  • Familiarity with San Francisco Laws such as Health SF, SickTime, etc.
  • Knowledge of local, state & federal labor laws as they relate to payroll
  • Ability to organize, accurately enter data and adjust priorities as needed
  • Strong computer skills with MS Office and accounting systems
  • Ability to handle computer work and sitting for long periods of time
  • Ability to lift 10 lbs or more
