Job Description

The Compliance team, which sits in the Legal Department, is looking for a Compliance Coordinator to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting to the Chief Compliance Officer, you will support her and the Compliance Team in the execution of all necessary actions to ensure achievement of an effective compliance program.  Specific responsibilities will include working with all areas of the business to ensure adherence to compliance standards; project planning, (internal and external) to ensure awareness of and adherence to compliance standards; and auditing and updating these policies, processes and procedures to assure the company remains in compliance with laws, regulations and ethical standards amid any changes to business practices and external expectations.

Your primary stakeholders will be other members of the Legal Department, People Operations, Finance, and Internal Audit teams. You will also be charged with building effective working relationships with colleagues in a range of different business teams, including looking for ways to continue to enhance the visibility of the Compliance Team.

  

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate compliance related activities across all of our business units and functions.
  • Partner with cross functional colleagues on compliance projects
  • Serve as the internal and external key point of contact for compliance matters, including requests for guidance and additional information.
  • Drive end-to-end compliance program implementations, enhancements and overall improvements.
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining the department calendar as well as activity and project plans and drafting presentations and related materials.
  • Actively coordinate and lead on projects across the business.
  • Benchmark, revise and/or draft policies and procedures. Educate employees and contractors on these policies and procedures.
  • Conduct periodic reviews to ensure policies and procedures are being followed and compliance standards are being met.
  • Take a lead role in the Company’s onboarding and ongoing training programs.
  • Respond to complex queries that involves providing support and guidance to resolve such issues.
  • Develop and manage a dynamic, engaging and informative internal communications strategy.
  • Monitor and report on the Company’s compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Research and present on new compliance requirements considering emerging laws and regulations.

 

 Skills and Experience Required:

  • Proven individual contributor with the ability to influence others and foster strong relationships.
  • Excellent communication skills, particularly written with well-developed analytical and reasoning skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office-Word, Excel, PowerPoint and, ideally, G Suite products.
  • Strong documenting and reporting skills.
  • Must be a self-starter and take initiative to develop oneself in this role.
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and manage multiple tasks and deadlines seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.

 

Skills and Experience Preferred:

  • 3 years’ experience in Compliance.
  • Wide ranging prior experience in Compliance, including matters concerning whistleblowing, anti-bribery and corruption, business ethics and anti-money laundering sought.
  • Experience working for a publicly listed company is desirable although not mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s Degree
