Role
The Strategic Initiatives and Program Management team's mission is to enable effective execution of our company strategy through project and program management and operational process management. As the Strategic Initiatives Manager, you will partner with stakeholders by providing project management support and expertise on critical initiatives that are cross-functional, complex, and high priority.
You will be excellent at structuring work, developing processes, managing timelines, examining and responding to metrics and data, and helping teams realize their full delivery potential. You will have a proven record of success in fast-paced, rapidly evolving environments, ideally for a technology company.
Responsibilities
- Manage high-profile projects and deliverables
- Manage delivery of multiple programs, including end to end program execution, scope management, schedule management, cost management and quality management
- Maintain open communication with functional leads and partners to ensure goal alignment, consistent expectations and efficient prioritization of projects
- Clearly communicate status of projects/programs, including effectively mitigating and escalating risks and issues
- Centrally own cross-functional and company-wide processes. Examples include: establishing and managing company-wide goals/OKRs, headcount planning, etc.
- Partner with VP of Program Management and Strategic Initiatives to manage the Strategic Planning processes across the company
- Help define and implement project management and operational best practices across the company
Qualifications
- 2-4 years experience in a project management or operational role, preferably in the technology industry or with high growth companies
- Previous experience managing and executing complex projects or programs, and/or experience implementing process and operational improvements
- Excellent written and verbal communications, ability to tailor to all levels of an organization
- Strong track record of ability to create change in an unstructured and rapidly evolving environment
- The ability to effectively operate independently and in a team environment, as well as proven ability to coordinate across disparate teams
- Self-driven with an ability to navigate ambiguity while managing competing priorities
