R&D Laboratory Operations Technician

Position Summary:

We are seeking a Lab Operations Technician to support our customer’s research and development of medical diagnostic devices. This is a full time position with Trison, with full benefits package.

The R&D Lab Operations Technician, working as part of a multi-disciplinary team, is responsible for daily monitoring the status of R&D lab equipment.

Responsibilities:

· Ensure that refrigeration units, environmental chambers, and room monitors are within specification and report/document any deviations

· Restock lab equipment such as pipettes, glassware, and lab coats

· Periodic testing of safety equipment such as eye baths and alarms

· File documentation

· Courier run between buildings

· Works in compliance with all regulatory requirements and SOPs

· Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

· Associate’s degree preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience

· Proficient with MS office

· Clean Driver’s license

· Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in carrying out job responsibilities

· Exercises good judgment in reporting potential issues with equipment

· Demonstrates excellence in communicating with peers, management and other stakeholders to ensure fluid, productive work flows and processes

· Must be capable of reliable and predictable attendance

Potential Safety Hazards:

Chemical and biological handling are required.

This position will be based in Rochester, NY.
