What are the responsibilities and job description for the Classroom Aide position at TriSource?
TriSource is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Student Aide's to begin working in a classroom setting helping students in a non public school starting ASAP!
We are working with schools located within the Southeast and Northeast DC areas.
Responsibilities:
- Supervises and manages student behavior in the classroom
- Maintains proper rules, safety and security of students, providing crisis intervention when necessary.
- Oversees student to ensure they are on track academically/ following IEP
- Provides verbal cues and physical de-escalation tools when student is in crisis
- Supports teaching staff when assistance is requested
Requirements:
- Experience working with vulnerable population
- Experience and/or comfortability working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Ability to work in a classroom setting
- Reliable transportation or Driver' License
- Clean background and ability to pass a drug screen
- High school diploma
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be COVID Vaccinated
Schedule:
- Monday- Friday 8-4
