Tax Manager

Job Summary:
Responsible for both routine and complex projects associated with all corporate tax matters, including income tax accounting, tax compliance and audits and tax research.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Support the Company’s corporate income tax provision process in accordance with ASC 740. Reconcile tax accounts, prepare tax accrual entries and maintain tax accounting records. Assist with SEC reporting (tax disclosures).
- Assist with the preparation and review of federal and state direct and indirect tax compliance and quarterly estimated and extension payment computations. Assist with federal and state tax audits for direct and indirect taxes.
- Maintain effective internal controls and assist with ongoing review in accordance with SOX 404.
- Interface with external tax advisors as necessary.
- Assist with coordination, tracking, and management of the global tax compliance.
- Research developments in tax law to determine appropriate tax methods and identify tax savings opportunities for the Company.
- Support various special projects and assist with ad hoc tax assignments as needed in all areas of tax, including assistance with research & development studies and tax notice correspondence.
- Identify Tax technology needs, including opportunities for process improvements, automation, efficiency and the coordination of existing tax technologies with the implementation of best practices of new technologies, and drive those improvements.
Knowledge & Other Qualifications:
- Five years of overall relevant experience with a minimum 3 years of corporate tax or public accounting experience.
- CPA required
- Masters in Taxation strongly preferred.
- BA/BS business/accounting/finance or other applicable business discipline.
- Broad knowledge of corporate direct and indirect taxation and generally accepted accounting principles.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
