Overview :
We are seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient individual to join our team as a JSH Assistant Warehouse Manager.
This position is responsible for managing all distribution aspects of our Slab, Sink, Tile, and Sample operations including Labor, Outbound and Inbound shipment scheduling, and pick and pack operations.
The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, future management potential, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the physical organization and inventory accuracy for all slabs, sinks, and tiles in the JSH, Harahan, La. warehouse, ensuring inventories are properly stored and easily accessible to be pallet or individually picked and packed for order fulfillment, inventory management, and general maintenance.
- Manage the physical flow and organizational layout for all incoming slab, sink, tile, and sample inventory.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of slab, sink, tile, and sample inventory, assists with shipment tracking, and client requests using warehouse management software and other tools.
- Continuously assist in optimizing process workflows to increase efficiency, reduce turnaround time, and improve overall customer satisfaction.
Please note customers include internal and external.
- Manage the packaging of individual sinks, for B2B or B2Customer, if necessary, via our packaging machine operation, to minimize breakage and ensure a professional presentation upon arrival at the client's location.
- Work with Samples coordinator to transfer new samples and supplies as needed, ensuring that the warehouse is stocked and ready to move products on a consistent, reliable basis.
- Manage and maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment, adhering to all company policies and safety regulations.
- Perform additional warehouse duties such as forklift operation, container loading and unloading, packaging machine operations, cycle counting and inventory adjustments in Tritons inventory system of record.
- In the future assist in the training and onboarding of new team members, sharing knowledge and best practices for sample department operations.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent; 3-5 years relevant warehouse experience
- Experience with heavy lift, bulk commodity a plus
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining a high level of accuracy in all tasks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with warehouse management software.
- Familiarity with shipping procedures and the handling of fragile materials, such as tile.
- Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes, tools, and technologies.
