Corporate Environmental Compliance Specialist   

 

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Compliance professional to serve as a key member of our Corporate Compliance Team servicing both internal and external customers! This person should at least five years of hands-on field experience in environmental program management and development, and should have a strong working knowledge of particularly RCRA, but also a strong working knowledge of all major environmental program areas and regulations.

 

This position is responsible for conducting routine scheduled and unscheduled environmental compliance audits and will require frequent travel to Triumvirate branch locations as well as 3rd party TSDFs and “other” facilities.

 

This individual must be able and willing to multi-task effectively and to shift priorities as needed to meet the demands of our business.

Essential responsibilities and duties include:

 

  • Perform internal and external compliance audits.
  • Permitting (e.g., air, wastewater, storm water, etc.).
  • Regulatory review and research in support of Triumvirate’s business.
  • Development of facility plans/manuals (e.g., SPCC, Contingency, Emergency Action, etc.).
  • Prepare and Conduct Environmental compliance training(s).
  • Interact effectively with regulatory agencies.

 

Required qualifications:

 

  • Current working knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations including: Resource Conservation & Recovery Act, Clean Water Act, Clean Air Act, TSCA, etc.
  • 3-5 years minimum hands-on Environmental Health & Safety experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental–related discipline or other related degree.
  • Top-notch organizational and time management skills.
  • Project management and strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail with ability to keep the big picture in mind.
  • Excellent soft (people) skills; ability to work well with clients and co-workers.
  • Self-starter, motivated individual.
  • Training/public speaking skills.
  • Computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
