Senior EHS Consultant - Safety

Emilcott Associates, a Triumvirate Environmental company seeks a Senior Environmental Health & Safety Consultant to join our team of IH and Safety professionals. This individual will have 3-5 years of experience in the EHS space, having worked for multiple organizations either in industry, regulatory agencies, or other consulting firms with a focus on general industry health and safety.

Responsibilities:

• Provide EHS oversight of site operations
• Develop, update, implement clients environmental health programs to comply with federal, state, and local regulations
• Conduct investigations into environmental hazards to identify potential risks to workers health and safety
• Prepare reports detailing findings or conclusions based on research or investigations
• Complete employee safety training programs about proper handling of chemicals, safety equipment use, fire prevention, and other topics
• Prepare documents such as risk assessments and accident investigation reports
• Provide industrial hygiene services such as conducting exposure assessments and air monitoring
• Additional tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Possess a BS or BA in a STEM field or Environmental Studies
• 3-5 years of experience in the areas of occupational safety, industrial hygiene, and compliance
• Possess excellent verbal and technical communication skills
• Produce clear, concise, and grammatically correct reports, procedures, correspondence, and other documentation
• Maintain a positive attitude under demanding conditions and aggressive work schedules. Work schedules and location will vary based on the clients needs. As with most consultancies, evening, overnight, weekend, and on-call hours are occasionally required
• Be able to earn a CIH, CSP, or CHMM within a few years of hire
