The Youth Activities Manager's primary responsibility is to ensure that all youth activities and programs are achieved and maintained in high standards and within budgetary guidelines. The ideal candidate will be an inspirational role model for his/her team members and a top professional in the field with a passion for service. The manager is responsible for implementing a procedural approach utilizing modern supervision principles to deliver top-quality member services. Team members are to demonstrate integrity, fairness, and honesty.

Essential Duties:

  • Identify, create and implement high-quality programming for the youth program, built on best practices in the field, innovation, and sharing of resources.
  • Ensure compliance with all requirements of the Youth Program, including maintaining files, tracking data, and enrollment numbers
  • Ensure effective systems to track youth program outcomes, evaluate program components to ensure that the requirements of the Club are met and that outcomes measurements are produced that can be effectively communicated to the Board and other stakeholders and that can be used to drive program improvement
  • Maintain a functioning and safe physical space for activities, including ensuring that all needed supplies are available and maintained, furniture and equipment is maintained, space is cleaned regularly, and needed resources are identified and obtained
  • Supports Director of Sports with planning and execution of social events and activities to ensure that the highest standards of service, quality, and cost goals are met
  • Works closely with the Family Committee; coordinates and attends committee meetings to assure that Members' needs are consistently addressed
  • Works with Director of Sports, and Social Activities Manager on the creation of the Social Calendar
  • Along with the Director of Sports, develops a yearly Special Events budget and negotiates with vendors and entertainers to stay within or under budget.
  • Works closely with the Communications Manager to ensure the promotion of all internal advertising of Member activities and events
  • Accurately completes all administrative details associated with events including tracking revenues, costs, purchases, check requests, and insurance requirements
  • Responsible for coordinating all aspects of events including decor, booking entertainment, facilitating entertainment contracts and insurance, BEO, floor plans, seating, staffing, etc.
  • Develop and maintain policies and procedures for member activities and programs
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Exercise discretion and independent judgment in the completion of job duties related to matters of significance Minimum Qualifications. All candidates should have proven leadership, management, and program development experience as well as proven experience in programs that work with school-age youth.

Experience and other qualifications include:

  • At least 3 years' experience working in a management position in a program or organization serving children or youth
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse staff, parents and employees
  • Ability to implement and supervise a positive, creative and entertaining environment while incorporating youth enrichment programming
  • Experience with conflict resolution and/or crisis management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills; a persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal and multidisciplinary project skills
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to planning
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
  • Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed
  • CPR / First Aid Certified Specific Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferences: Ability to read, write, and speak English proficiently Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook and Photoshop) Working Conditions Associated with this position

Physical demands and abilities:

  • Work is not always performed in an office environment and may require extended periods of walking and or standing indoors and outdoors
  • Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms and talk or hear • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-30lbs occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 30 lbs

. • Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl

  • Occasionally required to sit and climb or balance
