Description:
Skyline Country Club is looking for an Events Director. Our recently redesigned 18-hole golf course and updated Clubhouse make a perfect venue for all events.
Overview:
Directs and oversees all property events. Responsible for the management, planning, and execution of all club and private events. Ensures a high level of member satisfaction and quality standards. The Director of Events is responsible to meet Skyline Country Club benchmarks and financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Directs and manages all club events and private functions including planning, budget, and administration.
- Develops new ideas for theme events in conjunction with the Tennis, Fitness, Food and Beverage, Golf, and Membership departments.
- Books events for members, club functions and private events.
- Ensures proper management of all social activities and private events, including, but not limited to: marketing, planning, floor plans, seating assignments, merchandising, servicing, and corresponding administrative procedures.
- Reviews all Banquet Event Orders on a daily basis to determine staffing levels, location set-up, related supplies, and decorating materials.
- Ensures events are set up on time, the quality of the product and level of service delivered
- Develops and maintains vendor profiles to include audiovisual, floral, equipment rental, and photographers.
- Works with Marketing and Director of Food and Beverage to develop a monthly calendar, listing all of the existing events.
- Communicates with various departments regarding event details to ensure successful completion of all events.
- Works with Food and Beverage Director and Executive Chef to develop banquet menus, pricing, event P&Ls and revenue minimums using current and competitive data.
- Oversees data entry of contracts, banquet event orders, billings, and mail, conducts weekly Banquet Event Order (BEO) meetings and distributes function sheets to all departments.
- Manages department members that may include, but are not limited to event staff.
- Any other task that may be assigned
Qualifications:
- Two or more years of Event Planning and Execution experience is required
- Experience managing and leading associates.
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Knowledge of software applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and POS system
Physical Demands:
- Frequently stands, walks, uses hands, reaches with hands and arms, climbs, balances, talks, and hears. Regularly sits.
- Occasionally stoops, kneels, crouches or crawls, tastes or smells. Frequently lifts 10 pounds; regularly lifts 25 pounds, and occasionally lifts up to 100 pounds.
Base Salary $40,000 - $45,000 with additional Commission potential of $20,000 - $40,000
