What are the responsibilities and job description for the Groundskeeper position at Troon?
SUMMARY
Under supervision duties will include a wide range of daily golf course maintenance duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Attentive, alert, on time, properly attired, and ready to receive instruction promptly at beginning of shift.
At the end of shift, complete daily log sheet to include Daily Standards and break log check off.
Operates some equipment used in course maintenance.
Mowers: fairway, tee.
Small machinery: string trimmer, fly mow, backpack blower.
Involved in course detail tasks: weed and debris clean-up, poa eradication, etc.
Maintains equipment fluid levels: gasoline or diesel, oil, etc. (throughout the day).
Reports equipment problems/failures to the mechanic immediately and completes correct paperwork.
Perform daily equipment repair and maintenance as directed by Head Mechanic.
Ensures that all equipment used is washed properly, returned to designated location and charging if applicable.
Performs bunker maintenance: operation of mechanical rake.
Planting and maintenance of vegetative material.
Transporting material.
Available for overtime as needed.
Incorporates safe work practices in job performance.
Regular and reliable attendance.
Maintains a professional standard at Tucson City Golf including, but not limited to, appearance, interaction with members, associates, guests of the club, verbal discussions and written correspondence. Does not discuss work related issues with members and guests.
Supports and adheres to the CORE Values (ie. “The T.R.I.P.”) Service Fundamentals, and Guest Service Philosophy as defined by the company.
Maintains positive attitude and the flexibility to take on new and different tasks as assigned by the Director of Agronomy, Golf Course Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, or General Manager.
