Director, Marine Operations

This role will have direct reporting responsibilities to the VP Global Marine with dotted line responsibility to the GM of the Southeast Regional Operating Center (SEROC.) The role will serve two primary functions. 1)To manage and direct the business and operational activity of the bunker and marine lubricant business existing in the region of responsibility while also serving as a member of the executive management team of the SEROC 2) Serve as a member of the Parkland Marine Global Strategy Team. Primary focus is on the total customer experience from after the order is entered until billing is complete while still maintaining strong relationships with local customers.

Major Responsibilities:

• Oversee and Manage all aspects of the marine business for the SEROC This includes but is not limited to oversight of the coordination with dispatch to ensure proper allocation of assets for deliveries, management of the operation team for fuels and operations team for lubricants, monitoring and streamlining internal processes, assisting in the improvement of communication channels, total ownership of the customer experience and securing new methods to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction.
• Maintain relationships with key customers and key vendor relationships (Shell/XOM Marine Lubes)
• Establish annual marine regional budgets in collaboration with management and meet KPIs as guided by management
• Serve as member of Parkland Marine Leadership/Strategy team assisting in the evaluation of opportunities as directed by management
• Obtain relevant regional market intel and propose/develop growth strategies and provide that intel to the Parkland Marine Sales team for action
• Collaborate with the SEROC leadership team to ensure proper alignment and execution day to day marine activities.
• Develop strategy to expand the local market as well as assist in standing up other bunker opportunities within the SEROC

Qualifications:

• College Degree Required
• 5-10 years Maritime or Marine Fuels related experience
• Experience with marine fuel operations, storage, barging
• Experience with blending marine fuels a plus.
• Experience managing and leading an operations team
