What are the responsibilities and job description for the Class 8 Upfitter/Service Technician position at Truckworx?
We are currently seeking the following at our dealership located in Birmingham, AL:
EXPERIENCED CLASS 8 UPFITTER/SERVICE TECHNICIAN
This position is responsible to perform high quality, efficient work on class 8 trucks while installing wet line kits, headache racks, and metal fabrication. We offer technicians:
- Top pay based on experience with hourly and flat rate pay plans available.
- Bonus pay available based on productivity/efficiency.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
- Current, valid driver’s license
- Must have CDL, or be willing to obtain one shortly after hire
- Good driving record
- The ability to use good judgement and decision-making skills
- Dependability
- Metal fabrication
- Welding
- Hydraulic systems knowledge
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally with assistance, stand for multiple hours during shift, and regularly stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, handle and feel
