What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT Product Owner position at TruHearing?

About the Opportunity:

As a TruHearing Product Owner, you will have the opportunity to help manage our homegrown enterprise software platform. This platform, Echo, helps our internal and external users manage the entire customer journey. You will work with our users, stakeholders, and development teams to define and ship solutions that improve system flexibility and user experience. You will also contribute to new customer-facing, web-based applications that will allow customers to interact with their benefits and order hearing-related products. You will have a direct impact on our mission to reconnect people to the richness of life through industry-leading hearing healthcare solutions!

What will you be doing?

  • Manage product backlogs: create user stories for features, bugs, and tasks in alignment with projects and product vision and strategy; constantly prioritize, evaluate, and reprioritize stories for team backlogs to support successful deployment of roadmap (30%)
  • Partner with users and stakeholders: understand our user’s and stakeholder’s perspective, goals, and processes to define solutions with their collaboration that will bring delight end users (30%)
  • Support development team: work with a development manager, integrate into the development teams and be able to answer questions and make decisions without oversight to keep the team moving quickly (10%)
  • Identify and solve problems: be able to identify root problems in workflows or data and propose effective solutions and get buy in from stakeholders (10%)
  • Implement & improve processes: evaluate our current processes to determine where we can improve or need to implement additional structure; facilitate process implementation and improvement with input and oversight (10%)
  • Be a subject matter expert: be knowledgeable on the entire use of our systems to share knowledge with stakeholders/users and problem solve on the spot (10%)

What education or experience is required?

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM field or equivalent experience
  • At least three (3 ) years of experience managing software products.
  • At least three (3 ) years supporting an agile development team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the software development life cycle

Preferred:

  • CPM, CSPO certification
  • Prior experience with healthcare applications
  • Knowledge of HIPAA and other healthcare compliance/regulatory requirements

We are conveniently located across the street from the Draper FrontRunner station and subsidizes the cost of a UTA pass with access to FrontRunner, TRAX and regular bus service – employee cost is less than $2 per day.
