- Ensure data pulled is consistent with business needs/requests. Gather functional and non-functional requirements by engaging in business end-users’ discussions and seeking clarifications as required.
- Apply Business knowledge and technical expertise to develop ETL/Reporting solutions to translate the business requirements to high level technical design and documenting the same in mapping document. Provide subject matter expertise in data related to Commercial Banking, Mortgage and Consumer Banking, Finance Regulatory/Compliance and External reporting.
- Perform data and process analysis activities using ETL and analytical tools.
- Produce reports or package of reports utilizing databases, data assets, applications and more to provide information to business leaders. Reports may be in the form of standardized dashboards or customized views of data upon request. Reporting may be focused on regulatory matters, operational metrics, and productivity metrics.
- Review reports to identify data integrity issues using business knowledge and data analysis performed using data profiling tools to provide feedback to stakeholders to ensure any data issues are addressed.
- Perform technical and data impact analysis to identify cross-work stream impacts coming from dependent upstream applications and participating in application and environment Integration testing.
- Answer questions from end-users of reports to provide additional context. Ensure technologies and processes align with the business needs. Use domain and SME knowledge on data assets and be able to tell compelling stories with data which empowers business teams to make better and more informed decision.
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data processes/flows and applying Data warehousing and Dimensional modelling concepts to implement frameworks, processes, controls, models, and solutions to ensure data is effectively managed across the organization or within a specific business unit.
- Responsible for maintaining the integrity of data during the transfer from source systems into business unit data assets. Set standards/apply data for fit for use when applying data into business decisions. Utilize experience with standard data architectures/constructs, large/complex data warehouses, DataMarts, reporting infrastructures and common data analysis tools.
- Lead automation for all deliverables with process efficiency and effectiveness. Identify and champion the implementation of data process and practice improvements.
- Support and coach peers and juniors as and when required on specific technical competencies required to deliver on the assigned task.
Requirements
- Must have Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, or related technical degree.
- Must have 5 years of progressive experience in Data Analyst or IT consulting positions performing/utilizing the following:
- Applying understanding of principles, practices, theories, and methodologies associated with data quality and information technology.
- Develop ETL/Reporting solutions to translate the business requirements to high level technical design and documenting same in mapping document.
- Provide SME in data related to Commercial Banking, Mortgage and Consumer Banking, Finance Regulatory/Compliance and External reporting.
- Apply a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end data processes/flows and applying Data warehousing and Dimensional modelling concepts to implement frameworks, processes, controls, models, and solutions to ensure data is effectively managed across organization/ business units.
- Performing process automation to improve efficiency.
- Performing technical and data impact analysis to identify cross-work stream impacts coming from dependent upstream applications and participating in application and environment Integration testing.
- Managing small-mid size projects with some complexity.
- Providing direction and mentoring less experienced teammates.
- Maintaining integrity of data during the transfer from source systems into business unit data assets.
- Working with: SQL; SAS EG; Ab Initio tools, including EME, Co>Op System, Conduct>It, Express>It, Control Center, Ab initio Metadata Hub, ACE-BRE and DQE; Informatica; Toad, Hue, Hive, and Trifacta; SSIS; Excel; UNIX; Data Warehousing and Dimension modelling; Big Data; DB2, Oracle, HQL and MS-Access; and Cognos for data reporting.
- Position may be eligible to work hybrid/remotely but is based out of and reports to Truist offices in Atlanta, GA. Must be available to travel to Atlanta, GA regularly for meetings and reviews with manager and project teams within 24-hours’ notice.
