JOB SUMMARYServe as an Originations Quality Control Consultant supporting the retail mortgage line of business to analyze and compile relevant reports in order to identify action needed to mitigate risk. Assist mortgage sales leadership with recommendations regarding standardization, improvements, simplification, discontinuance or other methods.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Independently monitor and analyze relevant reports; Interpret results and present findings with recommendations to enhance controls
2. Identify internal deficiencies related to compliance, created by processes, technology, and procedures; recommend changes as needed
3. Responsible for reviewing and writing procedures for the Policy and Procedures user guide; make recommendations for the update of policy, procedures, and risk/control documentation.
4. Collaborate with the Business Unit Risk team ( BURM) and other key stakeholders to identify areas needed for development/enhancement of controls
5. Partner with sales teams, technology, risk, and compliance partners to identify reporting enhancements to mitigate risk
6. Assist management with research and response to audits, internal quality monitoring, and other events as needed
7. Maintain on-going regulatory and operational insight needed to analyze, communicate, and escalate issues to relevant teammates
8. Participate in change management meetings to ensure needs of the retail mortgage sales channel are being met
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
2. 7 years of work experience that includes audit, operations, process engineering or risk management
3. Strong knowledge of mortgage industry-related regulatory requirements, and operational risk concepts
4. Professional communications and presentation skills
5. Strong relationship management skills
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Accounting
2. Mortgage experience that includes audit, operations, process engineering or risk
