Our client is an organization in the Sheboygan area is looking for a Payroll Manager. This client is looking for someone with 5 years of payroll experience, leadership experience and who is highly organized. This company offers strong culture with tenure, growth opportunities and summer hours! This position is hybrid.
The salary for this position is $95k-115k.
The Payroll Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead the Payroll (Domestic and Global) Team and manage all functions related including:
- Accurate and timely payroll to members along with tax filings and payments to appropriate government authorities
- Proper calculation and submission of garnishments and other deductions
- Expat payrolls along with foreign and domestic relocation expenses including associated gross-up calculations
- Develop team members through 1:1 sessions, cross-training, project work and other opportunities as well as direct and prioritize team workloads
- Recruit and retain top Payroll talent along with evaluating and monitoring the team’s performance
- Minimize risk and protect company assets through internal controls, systems and process oversight
- Ensure compliance with company policies and government regulations as it relates to Payroll
- Work with cross functional teams by leading projects and strategic initiatives including supporting mergers and acquisitions
- Direct and oversee system testing for upgrades and implementations
- Participate in networking groups and be a payroll subject matter expert.
- Be an integral part of the month-end close process by overseeing accruals, journal entries, reconciliations and necessary adjustments to ensure financial statements are accurate and reliable.
- Administer monthly Great Performance Share bonus program, including annual system configuration.
- Manage third-party vendor relationships, contracts and pricing.
- Represent functional area for various audits (year-end financial, workers’ compensation, payroll, tax, and corporate social responsibility) along with directing requests and preparing and reviewing data.
- Develop and manage departmental budget.
The Payroll Manager will possess the following:
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance OR 10 years of payroll experience.
- Certified Payroll Professional Certification highly preferred.
- 5 years of payroll experience.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
