High School Social Studies Teacher (full-time) Forrest M. Bird Charter school, a small 6-12 public charter school with approximately 340 students in Sandpoint, Idaho, is currently taking applications for a full-time Social Studies teacher for grades 9-12. This teacher will have classes assigned with the focus of Government and Economics. Class size will never be more that 22 students; average size is approximately 15 students. Duties include classroom preparation, classroom management, lesson planning, instruction, and collaborating with peers. Instructors are expected to create curriculum in the learning management system Canvas, which training will be provided. FBCS does not provide students with textbooks. People applying to this position should be comfortable working with technology as the school provides laptops to every student. Salary will be based upon the Idaho Career Ladder.
