F.L.S.A Status: Exempt

In partnership with the Office for Exceptional Children and in collaboration with outside agencies/schools, applicants will plan, organize, and write Individualized Educational Plans for students.
Rate: $35.15 per hour (4 hour max per IEP & 4 IEPs max per week)

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Recommends changes to programs and services as necessary.
- Consults with district staff to identify ongoing/emerging special education needs of students.
- Works cooperatively with Office for Exceptional Children staff
- Maintains current knowledge of state and federal mandates related to instruction of students with special needs.
- Complies with state policies/procedures for the education of students identified as having a disability.
- Reviews/monitors/approves requests for home instruction, supplemental support services, extended school year services, and out of district referrals.
- Writes all assigned Individualized Education Plans by given due date and informs point of contact when draft IEPs are ready.
- Maintain the confidentiality of students and their families
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be a U.S. citizen or have the legal right to work in the U.S.
- Must pass Federal and Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation background check in accordance with Ohio Administrative Code Section 3301-83-06
- Must hold Intervention Specialist license
- Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTES/DEMANDS
- Frequently required to sit, stand, walk, hear, see, read, speak, reach, stretch with hands and arms, crouch, kneel, stoop, and climb stairs
- Occasionally lift and/or move lightweight items up to 40 lbs.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Work is performed in a virtual setting
- Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and tissue
- Some assignments are subject to completion within strict timelines
