The Elementary School at FRCS serves approximately 750 students in grades K-4. In addition to providing a standards-based curriculum, we also provide opportunities for students to build their character, engage in several itinerants, and learn Spanish starting in Kindergarten. Responsibilities:
The successful candidate for this position will:
- Demonstrate expertise and knowledge of all content areas they teach, including the appropriate levels of cognitive, social, and emotional development of the young child;
- Establish a respectful environment of a diverse population of students, developing a classroom learning environment in which each child has a positive, nurturing relationship with caring adults and other children;
- Facilitate learning for all students using a variety of instructional methods, to provide students with opportunities to develop critical thinking and problem solving skills, encourage exploration of ideas, and develop leadership qualities;
- Reflect on teaching practices, analyzing student learning, development, and growth and apply what is learned to improve instruction;
- Demonstrate leadership, advocate for the school and it's students and exhibit high ethical standards;
- Take responsibility for student academic growth using a variety of assessments and ongoing improvement of instructional practice;
- Manage oneself by being organized, prepared, and punctual
- Manage resources, meet deadlines, follow through on commitments

- Maintain high ethical standards, legal responsibility, and confidentiality
- Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree.
- Hold a Massachusetts Teaching License in Elementary 1-6 and hold an SEI endorsement
- Candidates are subject to background checks including, CORI clearance, and fingerprinting
- Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment.
- Education: Hold a Master's degree
