Position: Special Education Teacher
Location: Grand Junction, CO
Type: Full-time
Responsibilities: Develop and implement personalized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs Adapt instructional materials to cater to diverse learning styles and abilities. Provide direct instruction and support to students in various academic and functional areas. Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to foster a positive learning environment. Conduct ongoing assessments to monitor student progress and adjust teaching strategies as needed. Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and behavior.
Qualifications: Master's degree in Special Education or a related field. Valid Special Education Teacher certification Colorado. Experience working with students with various disabilities, including autism, learning disabilities, and emotional/behavioral disorders. Knowledge of special education laws and regulations. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
