SpiderLabs is Trustwave’s elite security team focused on digital forensics, incident response, penetration testing, application security and threat intelligence.
This position is for a Consultant role on our DFIR team. Your primary role will be helping customers prepare for, respond to and investigate cyber security breaches and will need to be prepared to work with both small and large organizations of varying levels of technical maturity. The team’s work is a mix of cyber breach investigations, and proactive services, including tabletop exercises, incident response training, incident response plan and organizational maturity reviews and leaked data exposure assessments.

Your skills and expertise:The ideal applicant will:
- Have 2 years or more experience in digital forensics and/or incident response
- Have experience with investigating compromises involving large enterprise environments
- Have a good understanding of different platforms and technologies with experience with using forensic tools, acquiring and analyzing forensic artefacts, detecting breaches and resultant breach effects, and preserving and maintaining data integrity.
- Awareness of current cyber threats, forensic challenges and industry best practices.
- Client-facing skills – desirous to meet and exceed client expectations.
- Able to communicate technical concepts to all levels.
- Work well independently, ensuring client deliverables are of a high standard.
- Able to work well withlittle supervision and also with strong team skills.
- Demonstrate strong report writing and verbal skills.
- Be prepared to work some weekends when ‘on-call’.
- Any penetration testing, threat intelligence, network or system administration or IT audit experience.
- Industry certifications.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a college or university degree is a plus.
