Trystar’s team members are our most important asset, we are in search of Grinder for the Fabrication Department. This position plays a critical role in achieving our strategic objectives. Trystar’s Grinder position is an important part of Trystar’s plan to become the world’s foremost custom solution provider.
The Grinder proficiently cleans up prefabricated parts in a safe manner necessary to manufacture quality products within a high-volume cable manufacturing environment.

In this role you will get to:
Setup and operate standard manufacturing equipment- Read, comprehend, and execute processes and procedures according to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) which are necessary to properly operate the equipment and manufacture the product.
- Must understand, complete, and maintain all required paperwork necessary in the operation including entering paperwork into Epicor. This also includes daily production reports, tally sheets, scrap reports, etc.
- Maintain and operate hand tools necessary to set-up, take apart, troubleshoot, and to operate equipment.
- Deburr, buff, or polish materials to specification
- Perform required quality control checks and inspections to assure the product being manufactured is meeting required specifications.
- Understand the job orders and interact with Epicor.
- Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- 2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read instructions, safely operate machines and visually inspect parts produced
- Accuracy and timeliness in completion of work assignments is a must
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds on an intermittent basis
- Must be able to read, write and comprehend plant directives written in English.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or GED is preferred
- Have basic computer skills and accurate data entry experience for receiving and issuing products.
- Perform simple mathematics to comprehend and interpret process sheets, SOP manuals, tally sheets, etc. and to keep accurate account of materials used during manufacturing process including scrap amounts.
- Ability to grind components in flat, vertical, and overhead positions.
- Basic understanding of blueprints, mechanical assembly, and electrical assembly.
- Frequent lifting, standing, bending & reaching required
- Able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug test
- Must adhere to all the PPE requirements to perform the job safely, this includes but is not limited to, Eye, Hand, Feet, and Hearing protection
