Overview
The Facilities Director will lead the maintenance function by providing direction, leadership and management for all maintenance personnel and all related contracted vendor services, ensuring that all employees and contractors are compliant with the mission, objectives, policies and procedures of the Company as well as all regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Responsible for developing and implementing a best-in-class facilities operations plan focusing on maintenance best practices, effective planning and scheduling and asset life-cycle management.
- Develop effective partnerships and work collaboratively with business partners (PMO, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Finance, IT etc.).
- Active member of the Site Leadership Team (SLT)
- Oversight of Facilities related CGMP documentation such as Deviations, Change Control, CAPA(s), Record Drawings, Validation Protocols/Reports, Calibration/Work Order Records, User Requirement Specifications and Equipment Enrollment Forms.
- Plan and manage internal and external project communications, ensuring effective and timely exchange of project information, expectations, and deliverables.
- Responsible for plant maintenance including facilities, utilities, and operations to reduce downtime and assure peak plant efficiencies.
- Direct responsibility for the development, evaluation, and retention of the maintenance team and their performance.
- Responsible for all maintenance department metrics including preventative maintenance.
- Prepare and operate within established maintenance operating budget and monitor departmental expenditures.
- Direct responsibility for the company HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) Program, ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety guidance.
- Define, plan and manage the full scope of assigned projects.
- Forecast, track, and manage project budgets, POs, and invoices.
- Be acquainted with local/state/federal environmental regulations and ensure compliance with all operational permits.
- Manage resources to assure key objectives are met.

Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering or related technical field or equivalent work experience
- 10 years managing plant maintenance activities and managing personnel.
- Must be computer literate; software applications such as CAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Project Management, etc.
- Prior experience using a maintenance management system.
- Extensive experience working in a cGMP environment, relevant to the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of facility and engineering operations and processes.
- Deep experience with GMP compliance
- Strong leadership, collaboration and influencing skills, with demonstrated ability to problem solve and drive positive change.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong technical/computer abilities
* Must be able to provide 24/7 off-hours emergency coverage.
Salary : $128,000 - $162,000
