Packaging Technician

Position Summary

The Packaging Technician is responsible for ensuring all product is packaged to the customer's requirements and is ready to ship when needed to ensure delivery dates are met.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Package customer parts per the customer requirements
• Ensure correct etching and labeling on all packages
• Work closely with Energy Manager and Shipping/Receiving to understand delivery dates, etc.
• Act as the final quality check before any product is packaged and sent to the customer
• Practice good housekeeping of work area and equipment
• Work safely and inform other and supervisor of any observed safety issues.

Qualifications

• High school degree or GED. and at six to twelve months related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience or knowledge of manufacturing environments
• Ability to effectively communicate internally and externally using both oral and written means
• A team oriented approach to solving problems in a self-directed work environment
• Ability to work a flexible schedule based upon production demand and at least 50 hours per week.
• Ability to wear appropriate required PPE
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
