What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bar Manager position at Tu Madres Cantina?
We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest experience. A knowledge of Tequila & Mezcal are a major plus. Servers with some bar experience are encouraged to apply , we are willing to train the right people!
Responsibilities
- Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages for bar and restaurant patrons
- Interact with customers, take orders and serve food and drinks
- Assess customers’ needs and preferences and make recommendations
- Mix ingredients to prepare cocktails
- Plan and present bar menu
- Check customers’ identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
- Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
- Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
- Comply with all food and beverage regulations
Skills
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of tequila and mezcal
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
- Alcohol responsibility training
Job Duties:
- Provide excellent customer service by taking orders, preparing them efficiently, and building a rapport with clientele
- Handle card and cash transactions, ensuring that all funds in the cash drawer are accounted for by the end of the shift
- Keep an eye on patron intoxication levels and respond appropriately
- Clean the bar and the surrounding area of spills and other messes as needed
- Other duties as requested
