Greeter Screener Position Urgent Care
Hospital screeners ensure that patients and visitors to the urgent cares, as well as employees, are following any guidelines put forth in the hospital’s visitor policy.
HOURS:
Sunday 8am-8pm
Tuesday 7am-2pm
LOCATION: TEWKSBURY URGENT CARE, TEWKSBURY MA
Job duties:

- The screener is responsible for making sure all patients/visitors/vendors are screened for COVID-19 symptoms, wearing a proper mask and following all procedures put in place when entering the urgent care. The screener will also give clear instructions to patients on what our process is when they have screened positive to the COVID-19 symptoms.
- Will be responsible for entering the patient’s name, date of birth and reason for visit into Lobby using an iPad.
- Must escort patients who screened positive to the COVID-19 Symptom questions into their assigned room provided by the clinical staff.
- Will be required to communicate effectively with the clinical staff to successfully fulfill the role, especially when a HIGH PRIORITY patient arrives.
- Responsible for sanitizing chairs in the waiting room, wheel chairs and any other high touch areas.
- Will be required to use critical thinking, effective communication, and good customer service skills.
Requirements:

- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Excellent customer service skills: pleasant, helpful, friendly
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior experience in a healthcare facility is a plus
